Mission-driven organization seeks a passionate, people person as CEO
Neuro Challenge Foundation for Parkinson’s is seeking a passionate leader of its mission-driven and mission-focused organization that is dedicated to improving the quality of life of people with Parkinson’s and their caregivers, today. “Today” is included in our mission because we strive to make an impact now, empowering people living with Parkinson’s and their caregivers to make today the best day.
While the leader of Neuro Challenge does not necessarily have to be personally affected by Parkinson’s Disease, this person must be caring and passionate about the mission and the people we serve. People are the hallmark of our organization. Once welcomed into Neuro Challenge, whether through a program, care advising or an educational event, people become part of the Neuro Challenge family and community. The ideal CEO candidate is a people person. Someone who loves developing relationships and cultivating them. Networking within our own programs and in the community is key to expanding our reach and brand awareness.
This person will be the face of the organization. Representing Neuro Challenge in the community, the ideal candidate will be comfortable with public speaking and an excellent communicator sharing the value of the organization and presenting it to others. Selling the value of Neuro Challenge is incredibly important in donor development. The ideal candidate will have fundraising skills and development experience including a demonstrated track record of asking for and securing major gifts. Donor cultivation is a huge part of this role. Constant touches — coffees, lunches, dinners, attending events, phone calls — will fill up a significant portion of this leader’s weekly calendar.
Business experience and fiscal responsibility lies on this candidate’s shoulders. Experience developing and managing budgets, preparing and monitoring financial statements are key responsibilities. This person must be able to lead a staff and make decisions while fostering a team atmosphere. The leader will be tasked with analyzing the impact and success rates of programs and services and providing data to support those analyses.
In summary, the Chief Executive Officer is responsible for the overall administration and management of Neuro Challenge Foundation for Parkinson’s, Inc., including development, programs, earned income brands, and business operations. Areas of responsibility include fundraising, operational management and administration, fiscal management, personnel management, and public relations. This position is hired by and directly accountable to the board of directors through its elected board chair.
