Reflections of the
Parkinson’s Journey
This blog is a compilation of the amazing work of members of the Parkinson’s community who began or re-ignited their creative writing work as part of our Creative Connections Virtual Expressive Arts Program.
This program has grown and expanded through a partnership with Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Sarasota. Most recently Creative Connections welcomed the passion and talents of Student Volunteer, Edward Shen to lead a Creative Writing Workshop Series. Those that joined Edward each week learned about Haikus, Sonnets, and most importantly how to use their VOICE, something that can often be a challenge for those on their PD journey.
This program became an opportunity for the Parkinson’s community to express themselves and then share and collaborate with their peers. We hope you enjoy this blog that showcases the talents of the Parkinson’s community!
